Suitable for both Bachmann models (5700 and 9600 series) the kit includes motion bracket, slidebars, crossheads, connecting rods, dummy valve gear and fully-removable brakegear.

This chassis can be built either rigid, or with twin-beam compensation. Power is provided by a large 14 series can motor and transmitted through a double-reduction gearbox, which is available in 30, 40 or 54:1 ratios. The motor sits snugly inside the boiler with the gearbox concealed inside the ashpan leaving the cab completely clear.
